THREE CASES, THREE CHILDREN RETURNED THIS WEEKEND!

By Jeremy D Morley

Over this past weekend, three children of three of our firm’s clients, who were the subject of three separate international child custody cases, were safely returned home.

In one case, the American child was returned from Asia, primarily because our client followed our strategic advice, because our client had safeguarded exceptionally strong evidence of abuse, and because of great lawyering by our overseas colleagues.

In the second case, a child was returned to Europe because our client followed our recommendations to prioritize a claim under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act instead of the Hague Abduction Convention.

In the third case, a child who had been the subject of a long-standing international child custody dispute between the U.S. and Australasia, has safely and timely returned home after a visit to the United States, after the safeguards that we had recommended before the visit could occur were put in place.

Our work in international child custody cases is all about children. It is so very gratifying when our strategies lead to beneficial results.
